SHILLONG: Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) to detect COVID-19 were conducted for the Members of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly at the MLA Hostel on Thursday. Samples of all the four MLAs who underwent the tests, indicated negative results. These legislators are Gavin Mylliemngap, Marcuise N Marak, Ferlin CA Sangma, and Brening A Sangma.

Appealing to all his colleagues to make use of the facility and get themselves tested for COVID-19 infection, Williamnagar legislator MN Marak said, "The results are out within 15 minutes."

While thanking the Health Department for arranging the tests at the MLA Hostel, Sohra legislator Gavin Mylliemngap also appealed to the public to follow the SOPs provided by the health department, like wearing masks, social distancing and sanitising hands.
