Meghalaya reports 159 fresh COVID cases and two deaths

Meghalaya on Monday registered 159 new COVID-19 cases and registered two deaths, both from East Khasi Hills.

SHILLONG: Meghalaya on Monday registered 159 new COVID-19 cases and registered two deaths, both from East Khasi Hills. Meanwhile, the State also recorded 27 new recovered cases in last 24 hours. With this the total recovered cases reaches 83,396.

The tally of active cases has increased to 578, the health department said in a bulletin. The total number of fatalities from COVID-19 infection stands at 1489 so far.

East Khasi Hills has the highest number of active cases with 475, West Khasi Hills 4, East Garo Hills 1, West Garo Hills 58, Ri Bhoi 21, West Jaintia Hills 10, East Jaintia Hills 4, South West Khasi Hills 4, South Garo Hills 0, North Garo Hills 1 and South West Garo Hills 0.
