MLA Sanbor Shullai inaugurated Laban Nepali High School building

MLA Sanbor Shullai inaugurated and officially handed over the newly constructed school building at Laban Nepali High School on Saturday.

SHILLONG: MLA Sanbor Shullai inaugurated and officially handed over the newly constructed school building at Laban Nepali High School on Saturday. The school building is equipped with full digital computer classrooms including computer sets, digital science laboratory, a library room. There are retrofitted desks and chairs in all the classrooms as well.

Undertaken under the 'Human Capital Development Project' supported by the Asian Development Bank, the sanctioning amount is Rs. 1, 60, 00,000. It was initiated and recommended by him to mark the 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Earlier, Sanbor Shullai informed that the project will also address the problem related to the student community especially those from the economically-challenged section of the society in 19 South Shillong Constituency in particular and the of Meghalaya in general. Among those present on the occasion were the school Principal TB Chettri, school Vice Principal Kamal Chettri, president of the Managing Committee of the school, Saraswati Gurung, the Rangbah Shnong of Madan Laban Loster Sun, and Secretary of the Dorbar Shnong of Madan Laban, RG Marbaniang.

The programme was also attended by the engineers and official of the PWD Building Department, and the officials of the ADB Project team, Hubert Marbaniang, president of the BJP-19 South Mondal, members of Seng Teilang Ki Kynthei and members of Seng Samla of Madan Laban and members of the MCIC 19th South Shillong Constituency, teachers and members of the Managing Committee of the school. All the speakers in the programme has lauded the sustained efforts of MLA Sanbor Shullai, in bringing about various kinds of developmental schemes in the 19 South Shillong Constituency.
