Nehru Yuva Kendra organizes 'Fit India Run' in Shillong

The Nehru Yuva Kendra Shillong (NYKS), on Saturday, organised the 'Fit India Run' to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.

SHILLONG: The Nehru Yuva Kendra Shillong (NYKS), on Saturday, organised the 'Fit India Run' to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.

The initiative was in collaboration with Pay For Right (PFR) Football Academy.

Member of District Council (MDC), KHADC Fantin Lakadong attended the programme as the Chief Guest and flagged off the Fit India Run from Malki, Shillong.

Lakadong in his speech appreciated NYKS and PFR for organizing the Fit India Run programme.

The MDC said that more people should opt for a healthy lifestyle and do regular exercises. He added that people should carry out exercise schedules regularly.

He also said after the pandemic, now we get an opportunity to start our daily exercise activities and this run is not for prizes but for fitness and to become healthy we need to do regular exercise.

State Director, NYKS, Meghalaya, Atul J. Nikam, State Director, Deputy Director, NYKS, Shillong, D. Rapsang, President of PFR, Franky Kharumnuid and Football Coaches Rilang Mylliempdah and Robin Nongrum were also present at the programme.
