NEHU administrative building closed after detection of COVID-19 case

Authorities of the NEHU in Shillong, Meghalaya, have decided to closed the administrative block from 2 pm of September 10

Guwahati: The authorities of the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) in Shillong, Meghalaya, have decided to closed the administrative block from 2 pm of September 10 till September 13 after a son of one of the staff members tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

According to reports, the whole NEHU building will be sanitized today and tomorrow.

The administrative block is likely to reopen on Monday since Saturday and Sunday are non-working days.

Meghalaya COVID-19 Update:

In Meghalaya, 121 new COVID-19 cases were reported on September 9, taking the total number of active cases to 1355. 107 COVID 19 patients recovered bringing the total number of recoveries to 1823.

Director of Health Services, Dr Aman War informed the media that out of the new 121 cases, 30 were from East Khasi Hills district, 59 from East Jaintia Hills district, 25 from West Garo Hills district, two from Ri Bhoi and four from South Garo Hills district.
