SHILLONG: While Meghalaya is fighting hard with the possible community transmission, new laws have also been put in place regarding the entry of people into the State. With effect from September to November, the first week of the months will not entertain any returnees.

Meanwhile, two days of random testing in the capital city came out with a tally of 130 positive cases on Thursday. The Department of Health and Family Welfare carried out the second day of random testing in business hubs here, and found 39 positive cases.

When asked about the possible community transmission of COVID, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said,"I leave it to your own wisdom; but there are indicators that should make each individual live responsibly."
