SHILLONG: A second dry run for the soon to be rolled out COVID-19 vaccination was conducted in all 11 districts of the State on Friday.

Director of Health Services (MI) Dr. Aman Warr informed that the dry run was held at three locations each at all district headquarters.

In East Khasi Hills District, the dry run was held at Mawroh Primary Health Centre, RP Chest Hospital and Mawphlang Community Health Centre.

The dry run at West Khasi Hills was held at Nongstoin CHC, Markasa PHC and Mairang CHC. South West Khasi Hills held it at Mawthawpdah PHC, Mawkyrwat and Rangthong PHC.

In South Garo Hills District, Baghmara CHC, Sibbari PHC and Chokpot CHC; South West Garo Hills District conducted the dry run in Ampati Civil Hospital, Betasing PHC and Zikzak PHC; North Garo Hills District at Resubelpara CHC, Mendipathar PHC and Bajengdoba PHC.

West Garo Hills District held the dry run at Tura MCH Hospital, Selsella CHC and Asanang PHC; East Garo Hills at Williamnagar Civil Hospital, Rongjeng CHC and Samanda PHC.

At Ri Bhoi District, the mock drill was held at Nongpoh civil hospital, Umsning CHC and Byrnihat PHC.

In East Jaintia Hills District it was held at Khliehriat Civil Hospital, Sutnga CHC and Pamra Paithlu PHC, West Jaintia Hills at Ialong Civil Hospital, Jowai, Nongtalang CHC and Namdong PHC.

Similar to the first dry run, the drill started with hand washing followed by checking the details of the beneficiaries in the registered list.

The beneficiaries were then seated in the waiting area for verification and authentication on the CoWIN App. The beneficiaries were then vaccinated by the vaccination officer. After receiving the vaccine, the beneficiaries were being observed in the observation area for 30 minutes.
