Seng Khasi Pilgrimage in February at Lumsohpetbneng

SHILLONG: The annual pilgrimage by people who adhere to the indigenous tribal faith –Seng Khasi – will be held on February at Lumsohpetbneng. In a statement issued here, the Lum Sohpetbneng Committee stated that the rituals before embarking on the pilgrimage will start at 9 am. The organizers of the pilgrimage has urged the faithful not to litter the area. The organizers also said that those going by vehicle, should park them one kilometre before reaching the peak of Lumsohpetbneng.

The Lum Sohpetbneng Committee also informed that those going by vehicle would be allowed to proceed only at 11 am and can come back only after 3 pm.

The organizers also said that those faithful who want to leave before 3 pm have to park their vehicles at Law Nongthroh- Umeit, Shillong by-pass.
