SHILLONG: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has informed that the Government on Monday received information that some students of the State who are studying in Ukraine have crossed the border and gone to a safer country.

Sangma also informed that the Government will be making arrangements to bring them back.

The Chief Minister also informed that during his visit to Delhi, he got a chance to have a word with the Foreign Secretary and submitted the list of more than 30 students who are studying in Ukraine.

"I am in touch with the Foreign Secretary and the Ministry of External Affairs on a continuous basis," he said.

Sangma also said that since four ministers of the Narendra Modi Government have been put in four different countries neighbouring Ukraine to oversee evacuation of Indian nationals working and studying there, he will personally coordinate with them to ensure that all the students from Meghalaya are brought back safely.
