AIZAWL: Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), conducted a lecture on "Preparation for IAS/IPS/Government Jobs" at Southern English Comprehensive School, Siaha on 6 October 2022. A total of 65 students and 6 teaching staff of Southern English Comprehensive School attended the lecture.
The lecture aimed to explain to the students/youth about Civil Services and educate them about Job opportunities in Government Sector. The students were briefed on qualification requirements, written tests and interviews to clear their doubts. The facilities provided to the IAS and IPS officers and their families and dependents were also included in the discussion. Various subjects covered in the UPSC exam, electives available, and the ranking system was explained to the students. Insight on good study materials/books for preparation was also shared. The Siaha Southern English Comprehensive School's staff expressed their gratitude for the efforts being taken by Assam Rifles in building the future of their children, a press release said.
