Assam Rifles conducts lectures on skill development at Parva-II village

AIZAWL: Lunglei Battalion of Headquarters 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), conducted a lecture on "Skill Development Programme on Tailoring/ Computer" at Parva-II village on October 5, 2022. A total of 27 youth, women, children and village elders attended the lecture.

The lecture aimed to develop interest and knowledge of gaining skills amongst the youth and to enhance the employment opportunities in Tailoring/Computer. They were also briefed that, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is a Ministry of the Government of India set up on 09 Nov 2014 to coordinate all skill development efforts across the country. It aims to bridge the gap between the demands and supply of skilled manpower, build new skills and enhance individual skills to create more employment in different sectors. During the lecture details of various avenues for job creation were discussed and shared for the general awareness of students. The locals of Parva-II village were very happy and expressed their gratitude for the initiative taken by Assam Rifles, a press release said.
