Online Assessment Test for Nurses in Mizoram: The Assam Rifles' Aizawl Battalion kept an MNS Guidance Capsule for young women in the state of Mizoram at the behest of 23 Sector Assam Rifles and under the auspices of Headquarter IGAR (East). Candidates for the Military Nursing Service (MNS) evaluation test and counselling took place from March 1 to April 16, 2021.

As part of its efforts to empower women, the Aizawl Battalion of the Assam Rifles took the initiative to broaden the perspective of young girls in Mizoram.

"As a continuation of the capsule the Aizawl Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted an online assessment test & counseling session for all the participants of the MNS Cadre," said an Assam Rifles statement.

According to the statement, the Assam Rifles launched the online project with the primary aim of training young MNS aspirants for competitive examinations and the secondary goal of keeping Mizoram's future enthused in the face of the COVID19 pandemic.

The Aizwal Battalion has taken on this huge initiative to assist the state's youth in their overall upliftment as well as women's empowerment.

The Assam Rifles, as the sentinels of the Northeast, have always been active and supportive of the youth of Mizoram, especially in instilling a sense of nationalism in their young minds, according to the statement.

The online curriculum was designed to be completed on a daily basis in order to determine aspirants' readiness for the Military Nursing Service Examination and to provide guidance on preparation issues.

The online program was well-received by Mizoram's young girls, with 60 girls participating.

"The instructional staff will subsequently speak to each girl and discuss their performance in detail for making them adequately prepared. More such online initiatives will follow to keep the spark among these young girls live," it further said.
