Assam Rifles organizes events to mark May Day in Mizoram

AIZAWL: The Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) conducted a lecture on 'International Labour Day' at Simnasura village of Mizoram on Monday.

The aim of the lecture was to spread awareness about rights and opportunities which every employee should get for their welfare and betterment. Local residents were educated about employee rights related to timings, work schedule and work environment and ways to demand the same. Emphasis was also laid on the importance of work-life balance.

A total of 25 local residents attended the lecture and they expressed their gratitude towards the Battalion and appreciated the efforts made by Assam Rifles for such a noble cause.

Meanwhile, the Serchhip Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), also conducted an awareness lecture on 'International Labour Day' at Zawlsei village in the Champhai district of Mizoram on Monday.

The aim of the lecture was to educate labourers about their basic rights and highlighting their importance in nation building.
