Assam Rifles provides medical assistance to civilian in Mizoram

AIZAWL: The Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), provided immediate medical assistance to a man named Sasa (35) who suffered a lacerated wound on his left hand while working in a field at Lungpuk-III village in the Saiha district of Mizoram on Wednesday.

The medical nursing assistant of the Lunglei Battalion at the Lungpuk Camp provided immediate medical aid and stitched the lacerated wound. The condition of the man is being monitored by medical assistant at Lungpuk Camp, stated a press release.

The local residents expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the assistance provided by Assam Rifles.

HINDI DIVAS: Meanwhile, another press release informed that the Serchhip Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), celebrated Hindi Divas on Wednesday by organizing a lecture to promote Hindi speaking in daily life at the Government Secondary Schools at Zokhawthar, Farkawn and Khawbung.

The lecture was attended troops of the battalion, students and local residents. The aim behind Hindi Divas was to make troops, students and locals aware of the need of speaking Hindi and highlight that the Hindi language is one of the oldest languages in the world and it also binds our country together.
