MIZORAM: The Serchhip Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), recovered areca nuts worth Rs. 25.76 lakh in the general area of Zotlang, Champhai district, on Tuesday.
The operation was carried out by a combined team of Assam Rifles and Customs Department Champhai based on specific information. The seized consignment was handed over to the Customs Department in Champhai on Tuesday for further legal proceedings, according to a press release.
