Charity cycling rally organized by Assam Rifles at Lunglei

The Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles organized a 'Charity Cycling Rally' along with the Lunglei Cycling Association

LUNGLEI: The Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles organized a 'Charity Cycling Rally' along with the Lunglei Cycling Association on Saturday.

The Charity Cycling Rally started from Chanmari in Lunglei to Hrangchalkwawn and culminated at Chanmari. During the rally, the Commandant 3 Assam Rifles, along with the Lunglei Cycling Association members, donated aid to 11 beneficiary families who were identified as people in need.

Living up to the motto of the force, 'Friends of The Hill People', such initiatives in the remotest of locations impart life-changing impacts on the local populace and society for their uplift and are always well appreciated by NGOs of the society. The aim of the charity rally was to spread goodwill and humanity. The residents of Lunglei town were very happy and expressed their gratitude for the initiative taken by the Assam Rifles. LECTURE CONDUCTED: The Aizawl Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles conducted a lecture on Human Rights Day at Zokhawsang, Hnahlan and Kawlbem villages on Saturday, informed another press release.
