MIZORAM: The Serchhip Battalion of Mizoram Range Assam Rifles (East), under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), recovered 34 cases of Foreign Origin Cigarettes, 38 cases of Foreign Origin liquor, and 178 cases of Foreign Origin Beer worth Rs 52.58 Lakh in the general Area of Zokhawthar-Melbuk Road on Monday.
The operation was carried out by a combined team of Assam Rifles and Customs Department Champhai based on specific information. The items have been handed over to Custom Preventive Force Champhai for further legal proceedings., stated a press release.
