MIZORAM: The Aizawl Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), along with Ngopa Police Station, recovered five soap boxes (79 gm) of Heroin No. 04 from the personal bags of the individuals carrying it along worth Rs 39,50,000 in General Area Tuisa Iron Bridge and apprehended two individuals on Wednesday.
The operation was carried out by a combined team of the Assam Rifles and Ngopa Police Station, Saitual, based on specific information. The recovered consignment and apprehended individuals were handed over to Ngopa Police Station on Wednesday for further legal proceedings, stated a press release.
