Mizoram Guv honors 2 Mizos who have been winning hearts

Esther Hnamte who sang “Vande Mataram” is winning hearts across the nation, and Journalist Lalhruaitluanga Chawngte were honored for the invention of a street library.

Aizawl: Mizoram Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai awarded an appreciation letter and cash incentive to four-year-old singing sensation Esther Hnamte of Mizoram, who sang Vande Mataram and journalist Lalhruaitluanga Chawngte, for the innovation of roadside libraries in the state.

Esther Hnamte is touching hearts across the country for her soulful voice singing the patriotic song "Vande Mataram". Her rendition was well-praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and AR Rahman.

Lalhruaitluanga Chawngte, a local journalist and writer who is connected with The Aizawl Post became the hero of his town for inventing the concept of two roadside libraries at New Market and Mission Vengthlang in Mizoram. His interesting concept is well appreciated by citizens from across the country.

The Mizoram Governor also tweeted applauding the two talented persons of Mizoram.
