15 army personnel in Kohima test Covid-19 positive

Earlier, three of the positive cases were detected on June 23 and 12 others were detected on June 24.

Guwahati: Fifteen army personnel in Nagaland's capital Kohima have tested positive for Covid 19.

The cases were among those personnel who reportedly on leave and recently joined the Cantonment.

Three of the positive cases were detected on June 23 and were added to the state's tally, while the remaining 12 tested positive on June 24.

Army officials informed that all those who tested positive were in quarantine at the camp as per military protocol, after returning from a leave.

Health officials said that the samples of those coming to close contact with the 15 army personnels have been sent for testing.

Confirming the news, Nagaland State Nodal Officer, Dr Nyanthung Kikon said that all the cases are asymptomatic.
