'Advent Christmas' in Nagaland calls for ushering global peace

‘‘Peace is the one thing that everyone is longing for at this juncture globally,’’ said Kethoser Kevichusa as the ‘Speaker of the Event’ during the ‘Advent Christmas’ celebrations held by the legislators of Nagaland at the New State Banquet Hall, CMRC in Kohima on Saturday.

DIMAPUR: ''Peace is the one thing that everyone is longing for at this juncture globally,'' said KethoserKevichusa as the 'Speaker of the Event' during the 'Advent Christmas' celebrations held by the legislators of Nagaland at the New State Banquet Hall, CMRC in Kohima on Saturday.

KethoserKevichusa is the first winner of the 'Gordon Graham Prize for Naga Literature'. He pointed out, ''However, peace will never come to us unless we first forgive and ensure peace with the Lord Saviour, Jesus Christ. Kethoser urged the gathering to forgive others in the name of Jesus Christ and let peace be in their midst taking the advantage of forthcoming Christmas.

Christmas greetings were also delivered by Minister for Higher and Technical Education and Tribal Affairs, TemjenImna Along, while the Advisor for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Dr Neikiesalie Kire, presented a special song. Other highlights of the celebration included song presentations by legislators along with their wives, as well as by 'Harmonic Voices' and 'MAK' during the service.

State Chaplain, Reverend T.W YamyapKonyak was the leader while Khyochano TCK was the pianist during the service. (Agencies)
