Earlier on August 4, Commissioner of Police Dimapur, Rothihu Tetseo IPS officially launched the bamboo barricades for Dimapur Police.

Since a very long time, police has been using barricades made of plastic and metal and the idea of using treated bamboo as barricades for assistance in traffic management is a first of it's kind.

Bamboo barricades can be used for multiple purposes such as traffic assistance tool, road safety purposes, and also as temporary traffic signs for informing commuters about condition of roads etc. (Agencies)
