NATIONAL INTEGRATION TOUR
KOHIMA: Altogether 18 students and two staff members from Moirang, Kwaktha and Khumbhi villages of Manipur interacted with President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi on Sunday. The President advised the students to focus on their studies and work hard for a successful career. A guided tour of the Rashtrapati Bhavan was also organized for the students.
The students were elated after interaction with the President and thanked the Army for organizing such a wonderful visit for them.
The team is participating in the national Integration Tour’ (NIT) to Delhi and Agra. The tour is being organised by the Army. The tour aims at providing an insight to the students on the diversity of India. During the tour, the students visited the premier institutions and witnessed the strides made by India in the fields of economy, entertainment, and infr astructure, stated a PIB (Defence Wing) release.
Organized under the theme ‘Today’s Children, Tomorrow’s Future of the North East’, the tour is an endeavour of the Army to harness the potential of children from remote locations and poor families.
