Nagaland: 12 from Mon district test Covid-19 positive

As many as 14 persons in Nagaland have tested Covid-19 positive within 24 hours

Guwahati: 12 more persons from Mon district of Nagaland have tested Covid-19 positive, raising the tally of cases to 193. While 103 patients have recovered, 90 active patients are still under observation.

"Another 12 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported out of 238 samples tested. All cases are from Mon quarantine centre", Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom tweeted.

:Earlier in the day, Nagaland had registered 2 more Covid-19 positive cases. Out of 314 samples examined, 2 cases were found positive, taking the tally to 181. Out of 2 fresh cases found, 1 is from Dimapur QC and the other Tuensang district.

It is to be mentioned that two weeks ago Nagaland was Coronavirus free but due to heavy inflow of people, the state has become the fourth Northeastern State after Assam, Tripura and Manipur with total positive cases in three digits.

Meanwhile, the recovery rate in the country has shown drastic improvement over the past few days. According to Ministry data, during the last 24 hours, 6,922 Covid-19 patients were cured of the disease. A total of 1,86,934 patients, so far, have been cured of Covid-19 across India, and 1,55,227 active cases are under medical supervision.
