Nagaland Lockdown: Unlock Phase-II to Commence from July 11-17

KOHIMA: As the COVID-19 cases are declining in Nagaland, the Nagaland government has announced the Unlock Phase-II which will be for seven days, commencing from July 11-17. The COVID-19 guidelines have been directed by the High-Powered Committee (HPC) as the COVID pandemic has lessened the state.

Mmhonlumo Kikon, the HPC for COVID-19 representative, said that only selected train administrations will be permitted with strict COVID rules. He posted a tweet on Twitter, saying that the HPC has decided to start unlock 2 in Nagaland from July 11 to 17 with additional relaxations. DTFs will give the revised SOPs and will be made accessible on all platforms. HPC assessed the preparation for the following wave. The selected train service will be permitted with Strict SOPs.

Prior to this, the Unlock Phase-I was declared for 10 days, with effective from July 1-10. Likewise, the HPC had informed that more exercises will be re-opened in a phased manner while proceeding with the current lockdown measures.

The guidelines mentioned in the first phase started with 50% participation in government workplaces, and shops to be opened on a rotational premise. While the curfew was said to start from 7 PM-4 AM.

In the first week of July, it has been announced that the 'odd-even' guideline for vehicular movements in the Dimapur municipal districts will be in effect until July 10, 2021. Commissioner of police Dimapur Rothihu Tetseo issued an order stating that essential vehicle versatility will be founded on the odd-even number of days currently in place. Those who are absolved have been told to bring ID cards provided by their respective HoDs. Shops and business establishments selling essential goods and items, as well as public utility services such as LPG and E-commerce, likely could be open every day from 6 AM to 2 PM.

Meanwhile, the latest unlock updates of COVID-19 is great news for the people of Nagaland, as the current situation is at ease and the active cases are decreasing.
