Guwahati: After the detection of COVID-19 positive cases, the Multi-Sports Complex Quarantine Centre located at Mokokchung district of Nagaland has been declared as a containment zone with effect from Tuesday, August 25.
This information was shared by the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir, on Tuesday.
It is to be mentioned that the order was issued as per the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland, given the confirmation of positive cases of COVID-19 among two of the returnees at the said quarantine centre.
Meanwhile, 26 fresh positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the Nagaland out of 627 samples examined.
Out of the 26 fresh positive cases, 20 cases are from Kohima, 4 patients are from Dimapur and 2 infected patients are from Mokokchung.
Notably, the state has 1,149 active cases of the virus; 2,611 have recovered out of the 3,778 total positive cases.
