Gangtok body among 10 other entities granted UAS exemption

The Centre has said it has granted conditional exemption from the UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) Rules-2021 to 10 organisations, including the governments

NEW DELHI: The Centre has said it has granted conditional exemption from the UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) Rules-2021 to 10 organisations, including the governments of Sikkim and Karnataka. The permission was granted by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation).

The entities that have been granted the permission include amongst others the Gangtok Smart City Development, the Karnataka government, the National Health Mission, Mumbai; and the Blue Ray Aviation in Gujarat, .''These exemptions are valid for a period of one year from the date of approval or until further orders, whichever is earlier and shall be subject to the terms and conditions of the SOP issued by the DGCA,'' said the Ministry in a statement.
