A Mobile Science Lab was inaugurated at Rhenock senior secondary school in the east district by State Education additional Chief Secretary G.P. Upadhayay today.
The science laboratory is that the second in Sikkim launched by Cipla Foundation, the social responsibility arm of Cipla Ltd, with its implementing partner Agastya International Foundation. This innovative project revolutionizes rural education and makes active learning more and more accessible. It's an interactive channel that aims to raise awareness on science among children and academics from government and government-aided faculties, through classroom sessions, science fairs, and community visits.
Upadhyaya appreciated the efforts put by the school principal and workers to uplift the standard of education and conjointly appreciated the Cipla Foundation for setting up the Mobile Science Lab. “Learning is the most vital investment for one’s future. I encourage all students to find out through the Mobile Science Lab and see it as an opportunity for State level science workshops,” he said.
Commenting on the launch, Cipla Foundation managing trustee Rumana Hamied aforementioned, “Quality education is the key to assembling a bright future. It's our honour to be able to create access to such opportunities that maximize the potential of every child.”
Agastya International Foundation regional manager Mukesh Kumar Cipla and website head Atul Sant briefed concerning the science laboratory. The new launched Mobile Science lab can reach bent on 1,400 students across 10 faculties within the bound of Golden Cross Unit.
The first Mobile Science Lab launched on August 15 by the Chief Minister has reached to over 2,000 students across 10 faculties close to Cipla Ltd. With the launch of the second Mobile lab, 3500+ students can have access to interactive science learning.
A science exhibition was also held at the school today. Two students of class XI (Science), Sweata Pradhan and Swastika Rizal were selected to participate in the science exhibition to be held at Patna.
