Swachhata programme held as part of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav"

GUWAHATI: United India for Swachhata conducted a programme at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra International Auditorium, Guwahati today as part of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" to highlight the achievements and milestones of eight years of Swachh Bharat Mission - Grameen.

The programme highlighted and honoured the work done by various functionaries across all levels under the Mission.

PHED Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah and other top officials were present at the programme.

The event started with the lighting of lamps by the PHE Minister and senior officials of the department. Syeda Abbasi, Additional CS, PHED, welcomed the august gathering and elaborated on the objectives. He also highlighted the current activities and goal of ensuring Sampoorn Swachhta in all villages across Assam by 2024-25, a press release said.
