Agartala-Bengaluru Humsafar Express to run bi-weekly

The Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway has decided to restore the schedule frequency of Agartala-Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVB)-Agartala Humsafar Express to a bi-weekly (twice a week) train from its weekly schedule.

GUWAHATI: The Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway has decided to restore the schedule frequency of Agartala-Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVB)-Agartala Humsafar Express to a bi-weekly (twice a week) train from its weekly schedule.

NF Railway has also decided to further extend the services of Santragachi-New Jalpaiguri-Santragachi weekly summer special train for increase in demand and to clear the extra rush of passengers.

Train No 12504, Agartala-SMVB Humsafar Express will run every Saturday and Tuesday from Agartala with effect from November 8. The train will depart at 5:30 am to reach Bengaluru at 8:15 pm every Monday and Thursday respectively. Similarly train No 12503, SMVB-Agartala Humsafar Express will depart from Bengaluru with effect from November 11 at 10:15 pm every Tuesday and Friday to arrive at its destination of Agartala at 2:30 pm every Friday and Monday respectively.

The coach composition of both the above trains will be of 21 coaches comprising of 18 AC-3 Tier, one AC pantry car and two luggage-cum-generator-cum-brake van, stated a press release.

NF Railway has also decided to extend the services of train No 08047, Santragachi-New Jalpaiguri summer weekly special for another four trips. The train will depart from Santragachi railway station at 6 pm every Friday from November 4 till November 25 to reach its destination of New Jalpaiguri railway station at 5:15 am the next day.

Similarly, the services of train No 08048, New Jalpaiguri-Santragachi weekly summer special train is extended for another four trips and will run from November 5 till November 26 every Saturday, departing from New Jalpaiguri railway station at 12:15 pm to reach Santragachi railway station at 11:45 pm the same day. The composition, frequency, timings and stoppages of both the trains will remain unchanged.
