Agartala: Blood donation camps are a regular sight in urban localities of Tripura where many dignitaries also remain present. There was a time when only various organizations used to organize such camps. That has witnessed a change as many people now are observing their family affairs like birthday, death anniversary by donating blood or organizing blood donation camps in their own residents.
When blood donation wore a festive look, a large part of the State especially the ‘Janajati’ (tribal) inhabited interior areas of the State was left aside. The Janajati Yuba Morcha, the tribal youth organization of the ruling BJP, has taken a noble initiative to take this initiative to those places.
Keeping this in mind, the Morcha recently organized a blood donation camp at remote Masuraipara ADC village where large number of ‘Janajati’ people turned up and voluntarily donated blood.
Parimal Debbarma, local MLA, inaugurated the camp and urged the ‘Janajati’ population of the area to come forward to donate blood. He told them about the utility of blood donation and its humanitarian values.
