Man in Tripura Kills His Wife & Mother-in-Law

The incident happened in Ambassa, which falls under Dhalai district of Tripura. The thrilling incident took place around 11.30 AM on Monday.

Ambassa (Tripura): In a shocking incident, a man in Tripura allegedly killed his wife and his mother-in-law on Monday. The incident took place in the broad daylight at Ambassa, Dhalai district, Tripura. The accused killed both of the women with sharp cutting weapons. The incident happened around 11.30 in the morning in the Ambassa colony area.

The accused is identified as Narayan Das, who lives in the suburbs of the capital city of Tripura, Agartala. He married Jayi Sahi years ago. His wife belonged to Ambassa colony area in Dhalai district, which falls in the Northern part of Tripura.

However, due to a few domestic problems, which turned their married life into an unhappy one, Jayi was living with her parents.

On Monday, Narayan Das reached his wife's house at Ambassa. Both of them got engaged in a heated argument. His mother-in-law, Kajali Sahi too joined the argument, supporting her daughter, Jayi. Narayan took out a sharp weapon from his bag and hit both the mother and daughter randomly. The duo died on the spot. Hearing cries of both of them, the neighbours assembled at their home and called the police.

On the other hand, Narayan, the accused, locked himself in a room. The injured were taken to the hospital by the fire brigade, where both of them were declared dead as they succumbed to their injuries. The agitated locals of Ambassa colony area demanded the authorities hand over the main culprit to the.

However, the MLA Parimal Debbarma, along with the Superintendent of Police (SP), and the District Magistrate talked with the locals of that area and calmed them down.

The police of Ambassa, however, took the accused Narayan Das into their custody.

This thrilling event in Ambassa colony area has sparked resentment and panic among the locals of that area. Further investigation into the case is underway.
