AGARTALA: The Northeastern state of Tripura goes to election on February 16 and the elections are on full swing. And the Bharatiya Janata Party will be releasing its manifesto for the Tripura Assembly elections on February 6.
The national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Jagat Prakash Nadda arrived in the poll-bound state of Tripura early in the morning. He will be taking part in the election campaigns of the state. The core agenda of his election campaign will include the release of the election manifesto for the state.
According to BJP party members in the state, this year's manifesto will have multiple new agendas and will propel the party to a victory in the election.
"There many new points have been added in the manifesto that is important for the development of the state. Modi government always thinks about the development of the NorthEast. His vision is the growth of state and most importantly youth", mentioned a party member from Tripura.
The last manifesto of Bharatiya Janata Party for Tripura is expected to mention election time promises like employment, medical facilities along the lines of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, pay increments under the 7th Pay Commission, hiking monthly social pension, providing houses lakhs of families in the state, drinking water supply to households and a few others.
Elections for the 60-seat Tripura assembly will be conducted on February 16. The last date for filing nominations in the state was January 30 and documents were scrutinised on the next day. The last day for the withdrawal of nominations was February 2 and the counting of the ballots will be conducted on March 2. Several major politicians of the party including the chief ministers of Assam and Uttar Pradesh, Himanta Biswa Sarma and Yogi Adityanath participated in rallies in the state. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also campaigned in the state on Wednesday.
