Agartala: The newly-appointed chief of Tripura Pradesh Congress Pijush Kanti Biswas has undertaken a special drive to strengthen the party and is currently visiting different places in northern districts of the State. He addressed two programmes organized by Kumarghat block Congress and another one at Fatikroy organized by the Youth Congress.
Biswas in his speech severely criticized the Centre as well as the State Government for their “total failure” in improving the economic condition of the country. He said that now the Central Government is creating unrest with the Citizenship Amendment Act and National Register of Citizens. He alerted the people against such “divisive move” of the BJP-led government.
He urged the party workers to get united and “be prepared to face any eventuality to prevent the designs of the divisive forces led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.” He also criticized the Chief Minister Biplab Deb and alleged that he is busy in giving stunt instead of performing his duties. Biswas also held several organizational meeting and urged the party workers to strengthen the organization.
