Tripura: TMC Announces Party's Election Manifesto

AGARTALA: Trinamool Congress announced the party's election manifesto for the approaching Tripura Assembly. The manifesto declared the assurance of providing as many as fifty thousand opportunities in the initial one year, and later the party will provide employment to 2 lakh people across the state. 

TMC revealed its aims and objectives in the presence of Rajib Banerjee, the TMC incharge of Tripura, Pijush Kanti Biswas, the Tripura TMC President along with Sushmita Dev, TMC MP. The party presented its manifesto, just a day prior to the visit of TMC Chief, Mamata Banerjee in Tripura. 

Notably, on 16th of February, Trinamool Congress will contest for 28 Assembly seats. Rajib Banerjee mentioned that, the party prepared the manifesto aligning to the Bengal Model of Development. The TMC incharge further asserts that, West Bengal is the only state across the country, which have grown tremendously in the past 11 years.

Sashi Panja, the Industries Minister of West Bengal, claims that, TMC is set to introduce welfare schemes like Kanyashri and Lakkhir Bhandar, in northeast region.

Rajib Banerjee claims that, rules set in the manifesto will be brought to life, if the party gains power in the upcoming election. The education minister of West Bengal, Bratya Basu stated that, Trinamool Congress in Tripura will give an amount of Rs 1000 to unemployed youths of the state, which means the party will provide Rs 12,000 to each jobless youth as a financial aid.

Recently, over 2 lakh people has been registered under the Meghalaya Youth Empowerment (MYE) scheme initiated by the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC). The response to MYE has boosted the party to work more efficiently for the youths of Meghalaya and offer them employment security.

All the youths whose name has been incorporated in the MYE scheme will get a ID card which will act as an assurance.
