Tripura's agriculture sector set to transform with help from Israel

In some good news for the agriculture sector of Tripura, Israel is all set to help all those people involved in the farm sector technologically and with other expertise in the areas of horticulture

AGARTALA: In some good news for the agriculture sector of Tripura, Israel is all set to help all those people involved in the farm sector technologically and with other expertise in the areas of horticulture, water management and disaster management. The decision was taken at a meeting held between visiting Israeli Ambassador to India, Ron Malka and Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Ministers of his Cabinet and other senior officers.

Ambassador Malka was on a day-long visit to Tripura. According to Chief Minister Deb, plans to set up a Centre of Excellence (CoE) is taking shape. "Israel's world-class expertise will greatly benefit in transforming Tripura," said Deb.

Israel Ambassador Ron Malka expressed his happiness at the growing partnership with the North East Indian States, and said that he and his government is happy to boost their activity and collaboration and explore more avenues like health and water among others. (Agencies)
