AASU held protests in different parts of Assam today against the passage of farmers' Bills by the Parliament. In Guwahati they symbolically burnt copies of Bills and urged on the government to withdraw the Bills which according to them would harm the farmers more than help them. They also raised anti-Narendra Modi slogans at the protest rally. Similar protests were held at Biswanath and Naharkatia as well. Supporters of AASU who took part in the protests warned the government that if the Bills are not rolled back, they would intensify their stir.
