Assam Election Result, 2021: Candidates thank people after winning

Sootea constituency MLA, BJP's Padma Hazarika won the Sootea seat for the fifth time.

Earlier, Padma Hazarika had appeared confident of winning with a majority.

Speaking to the media, Padma Hazarika said, "Sootea constituency people have supported the BJP party. I want to thank the people, party workers and media."

Congress candidate Bhaskar Baruah won the Titabor seat. He thanked Titabor people for his victory.

Speaking to the media, Bhaskar Baruah said, "This is the victory of Titabor people and Congress party leaders, party workers. I will not do politics, I will do work for the public."

BJP's candidate Dr Numal Momin won the prestigious Bokajan seat by defeating rival INC candidate Raton Engti by a huge margin of 18,071 votes.

Speaking to the media, Numal Momin said, "This is the victory of Bokajan people. I feel very lucky person today that I have worked with Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. I will do work for the people in the next 5 years too. And I want to thank everyone for my victory."

On the other hand, AGP president Atul Bora won the Bokakhat seat. He was also the sitting MLA of Bokakhat Assembly Constituency.

BJP 's Taranga Gogoi won the Naharkatiya seat by 15,059 votes.

In, 94 no Sarupathar Assembly constituency, BJP candidate Biswajit Phukan won by 39,065 votes.
