A 39-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly killing her former lover, who reportedly went missing in March, chopping his body into pieces, and burying them in Kovalam on the outskirts of Chennai.
According to the police, the woman, who is a sex worker, was helped by another man in committing the murder.
The police said the victim has been identified as M Jeyanthan, ground staff with private airlines at the Chennai International Airport, lived with his sister’s family near Nanganallur in Chennai.
The Pazhavanthangal police had received a complaint from Jeyanthan’s sister that her brother had been missing since March 18 and his mobile was switched off. The police registered an FIR on March 20 and started looking for him.
