An injured leopard was found in Kakajan tea estate at Nakachari in Mariani of Jorhat district by forest officials on Wednesday
A seriously injured leopard cub was rescued from under the Number 7 Cattle Bridge at Deberapar in Kakajan tea estate under Nakachari Morongial Zonal Forest Officer's Office.
According to forest officials, the leopard was injured by miscreants.
The injured leopard was found by locals and accordingly informed the forest department.
The injured leopard was rescued by forest officials and sent to the wildlife treatment camp at Panbari in Kaziranga for treatment.
