A Jana Satyagrah protest programme was organized by AASU (All Assam Students Union), Tinsukia district on Thursday in Tinsukia opposing the controversial citizenship[ Amendment] Bill 2016. A Protest meeting took place at Senairam Boarding Field.After the protest rally a massive rally participated by 28 organizations was brought out led by Lurin Jyoti Gogoi , General Secretary, AASU Central committee. The rally culminated at Thana charali where a protest meeting took place addressed by representatives of various organizations who strongly opposed and demanded scrapping of the bill.
