The Kampur unit of Sangrami Oikya Manch staged 24 hour sit-in demonstration against the Citizenship Amendment Act on Tuesday.
The members of the organisation also demanded unconditional and immediate release of KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi and other members of the body.
During their agitation, the members also prayed for the speedy recovery of peasant leader Akhil Gogoi, who is reported to be very sick since past few days.
Speaking before the media, the organization also demanded intervention of the Human Rights Commission into the matter and to ensure Akhil Gogoi's speedy recovery at a good hospital.
