GUWAHATI: Parthiv Kalita and Arnavi Debnath of Assam along with Shazfa SK of West Bengal lifted the double crown in the AITA Championship Tennis Tournament for Boys and Girls that concluded at the All Assam Tennis Association complex in the city today. Parthiv Kalita won the Boys under 14 singles and doubles titles while his state mate Arnavi Debnath lifted Girls under 14 singles and doubles titles to complete the double crown. Shazfa SK of West Bengal also won the double crown by lifting the Girls under 12 singles and Girls under 14 doubles titles. The trophies and the certificates to the winners and the finalists were distributed by Tournament Director and General Secretary of All Assam Tennis Association Ankush Dutta and Treasurer Swapnil Borthakur respectively.
Results: Boys Singles Under 12 Final: Chandogya T Pathak (AS) beat Naman Borah (AS) (6-3, 6-2). Boys Singles Under 14 Final: Parthiv Kalita (AS) beat Chandogya T Pathak (AS) (6-1, 6-2). Girls Singles Under 12 final: Shazfa SK (WB) beat Sanvee Basu (WB) (7-5, 6-1). Girls Singles Under 14 Final: Arnavi Debnath (AS) beat Anwesha Dhar (KA) (6-2, 6-4).
