The secretary of the Assam Arm Wrestling Association Pran Pratim Chaliha will accompany the Indian team as manager for the 20th Asian Arm wrestling Championship which kicked off at Samarkand in Uzbekistan today. During the tournament Chaliha will also participate in the Asian Body's meeting which will be held on April 25. Chaliha informed the media that Assam is interested in organizing the next edition of Asian Championship in Guwahati and they already received necessary permission from the national Body. He will now place the matter in the forthcoming meeting for final approval.
