GUWAHATI, Aug 20: Assam Swimming Association will organize 75th Senior National Aquatic Championship in the city from September 3. The competition will be held at the Zakir Hussain Swimming pool at the Sarusajai Sports complex.
Addressing the media the secretary of the Assam Swimming Association Bhaskar Das today said that around 750 swimmers from 27th States will participate in the competition. Apart from swimming two other events-Water Polo and Diving- will also be the part of this championship.
Das also added that several top level swimmers of the country including a few Olympian will be seen in action in the tournament which will conclude on September 10.
Regarding the preparation of Assam team Das said that it had already started and the State will participate in all three categories.
