GUWAHATI: A cricket academy of Tezpur District Cricket Association was inaugurated at Polo Ground in Tezpur today. The opening function was attended by the President and Secretary of the Assam Cricket Association Romen Dutta and Devajit Saikia respectively, Rup Kamal Kakoti, President, Tezpur District Cricket Association, Ritu Baran Sarmah, Vice-President of Assam Olympic Association and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Romen Dutta, shed light on the various cricket infrastructure development projects being undertaken by ACA across Assam for the development of the game.
Meanwhile, Devajit Saikia in his speech highlighted the significance and importance of the Cricket Academy of Tezpur District Cricket Association.
He said: Cricket Academy at Tezpur would help many budding cricketers to hone their skills and leave a mark.
