GUWAHATI: Assam drew their second Ranji Trophy game of the season against Delhi at the ACA Stadium here today. The hosts collected three crucial points from the game by virtue of the first innings lead and are placed at fifth place in the points table with 4 points.
Interestingly three top teams of domestic cricket- Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Hyderabad are behind Assam in points table at the end of the second round.
It was almost final after the third day's play that the game was heading for a draw. The lone interest in the game remained was to see which team earned the first innings lead. Two overnight batsmen of Assam Sidharth Sarma and Mukthar Hussain easily took the host beyond Delhi's first innings total in the morning.

Dhruv Shorey, the Delhi opener, scored another century in the match and this time he remained not out on 150 (4X18, 2X6).In the first innings the batter scored double ton and also carried his bat. It is the rarest occasion in the history of ACA Stadium that a batter scored a double ton and a ton in the same match.
