GUWAHATI: England completed their preparation for the ICC World Cup Cricket 2023 with a four-wicket win over Bangladesh at the ACA Stadium here on Monday.

England, chasing a revised target of 197 after the match was disturbed due to rain, reached the target in 24.1 overs losing six wickets. Moeen Ali smashed 56 off 39 balls including six sixes.

Earlier elected to bat, Bangladesh made 188-9 from their 37 overs, with rain causing a three-hour delay during the middle of their innings. While R Topley took 3-23, M Hasan (74, 89 balls, 4X10) scored half century for Bang-ladesh. In another warm-up game on Monday New Zealand defeated South Africa by seven runs in another rain-affected game in Thiruvananthapuram.

New Zealand posted 321-6, with Kane Williamson making 37. South Africa were 211-4 off 37 overs when the rain arrived. Quinton de Kock (84 not out) was the top scorer..
