England’s Jonny Bairstow Shares Image After 38 Hrs Long Trip for World Cup

GUWAHATI: With the ICC Mens ODI World Cup just around the corner, the teams have started arriving in cities across the country. But English cricketer Jonny Bairstow took to a social media site to share the horrible experience of the team while traveling to the country for the upcoming tournament. They will be facing the hosts in a warmup match on Saturday in Guwahati.

Jonny Bairstow took to the popular social media site Instagram to share their experiences as they took over 38 hours of fight to reach their destination. He shared a story regarding the same on instagram. He shared a photo where the cricketers were on the plane along with general public. The 34 year old player looked very tired in the photo that he shares.

He also added the comments ‘utter chaos’ and ‘ last leg incoming .. been some trip’ along with the local time of the image. It is not known where the image was taken but the team was definitely on their way to reach Guwahati when the image was taken. Also the image showed that it was taken on the economy class of a domestic flight in India.

England is all set to play an warm up match against the host country of the tournament, India in the Barsapara Stadium of Guwahati on September 30. Their first match of the tournament will be against New Zealand on Thursday. It can be noted that England is currently ranked 5 on the list of one day international teams after hosts India, Pakistan, Australia and South Africa respectively.

Meanwhile Guwahati’s Barapara Cricket Stadium is all set to handle four warmup matches of the tournament, The first of which is between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka on Friday. Appart from making proper arrangement for accommodation and transportation, traffic regulations have also been issued for the match days in the city.
