IPL Auction 2022 Date And Time Announced, Here's All You Need To Know

The official Broadcaster Star Sports Network has announced the confirmed timing for the upcoming IPL (Indian Premier League) Auction for this year.

Earlier the IPL Governing Council had informed about the dates for the mega Auction of the 15th season of IPL.

As per the information from the sports authority, the IPL auction is scheduled to take place in Bengaluru this week on Saturday and Sunday i.e. on 12th February and 13 February. The timing for the same is morning 11:00 am onwards on Saturday.

The biggest start from the world cricket fraternity will be joining the IPL Auction 2022 to light up the tournament.

The mega auction will be available to watch live on the Star Sports Network from 11:00 am on the two dates announced.

As the dates are now decided the sports council is all set to decide the future of the teams from across the world.

220 players from different countries and 370 Indian players will be participating in the auction with around 48 players that are chosen o place themselves in the bracket of Rupees 2 crore.

At the grand IPL auction event, the initial sequence of players will be the ten most skilled players and all the ten players will have two crore base price.

The ten players are Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, David Warner, Shreyas Iyer, Faf du Plessis, Pat Cummins, Quinton de Kock , Shikhar Dhawan, Kagiso Rabada and Mohammad Shami.

Oversees players like Kagiso Rabada and Pat Cummins along with top Indian players Shreya Iyer and Shikhar Dhawan are bracketed in the highest base price category of 2 crore Rupees which is the highest reserve price.

34 players are listed in the reserve price of 1 crore and 20 player names are in the auction list of reserve price 1.5 crores.

A total of 25 players will earn a whopping 900 crore when the action gets completed on Sunday 13 February.

The ten IPL franchises for the upcoming auction this week are, Lucknow Super Giants (LGS), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Mumbai Indians (MI), Delhi Capitals (DC), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Punjab Kings (PK), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SH) and Team Ahmedabad.

Cricketer Hardik Pandya will be leading the Ahmedabad team and KL Rahul will take lead for the Lucknow team.
